Kyle Lisowski, LCPC

Did you just have a panic attack? Are you stressed and tense about the uncertainty of the future? Statistics state that around 60% of the population of the US will go through a period where they are experiencing enough anxiety to qualify for a mental health diagnosis. Sometimes asking for help is something we are so unfamiliar with that we never take a risk and ask (‘I’m too busy taking care of xyz,’ ‘I’ll have more time when summer gets here,’ ‘I’ll just tough it out, brute force method.’) If you’ve ever said ‘my anxiety is out of control, I need to talk to someone’ please keep reading, or send me an email.

I want to help people feel relief from anxiety. As a therapist, I specialize in working with teens 16+ and adults struggling with anxiety disorders. As someone who’s had and managed their own anxiety disorder for the last 16 years, I feel I am the best fit to help you. I did not know that overthinking, second guessing, and impulsive decision making were, at their core, an anxiety symptom. How anxiety manifests can be different from person to person, case by case.

If you’re ready to start changing the way you think, approach, and pursue a less anxious way of life, I’d love to be a part of that journey. I care about my clients, and I want them to have an overall easier experience in managing their tension, stress, overwhelm, and panic. Let me help push you towards an easier way of living.

My practice is called Sixty Forty Counseling because I believe that forty percent of life is going to be hardship, difficulties, and overall discomfort. That leaves the other sixty percent of that lifetime for enjoyment, fun, passion, and creativity. We don’t get to choose when which percentage kicks in, but we can pay attention to how we’re feeling when we are experiencing either part. When we accept that the equation isn’t perfect, we can start allowing ourselves to be imperfect and stop judging ourselves so harshly.

  • If you find yourself overthinking, having trouble making decisions, and experiencing intrusive thoughts, you may be experiencing anxiety.
